My name is Phil Greazzo (gree-ah-zo) and I'll be an Alderman that's aware and involved with what is going on in our ward. I will work to address your concerns before they become larger problems and have neighborhood meetings throughout the Ward so that you can be sure to have a voice at City Hall. Getting to know your neighbors and being involved in our community is one of the most effective ways of improving our quality of life and keeping the criminal element in check. The safety and security of our residents and community is a great responsibility - public safety must be a top priority. Our tax burden has become too high and not enough effort or leadership has been given to look out for the residents of Ward 10. The best way to keep taxes low is to keep spending under control. It’s something I will fight for. I will do something about our skyrocketing taxes by working with Mayor Guinta to deliver much needed tax relief. I personally can not afford another tax increase and I'm sure I'm not alone. We're also faced with increased water & sewer bills that will nearly double over the next four years. Better planning for the future will insure we are not faced with such large increases. We have a wealth of natural resources in Ward 10 and I'd like to build partnerships with businesses and private organizations to improve these areas. Additionally, plans for a bike path have been in the works for many, many years now and I will work to insure that it finally gets completed. Lastly and most importantly, I feel we need to focus on what’s really important in establishing a strong community -- neighborhoods where people know and help each other, not just where people live on the same street. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 6th. Respectfully, |
